The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) offers an exam that allows aspiring technicians to become certified.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates total employment to grow by 19% between 2010 and 2020. This will bring the total number of technicians employed in Wyoming to 60 by 2020. Analysts predict 10 annual job openings as a result of growth and net replacement.
